Bogus marksheet scam busted in TN

Chennai, Jul 16: After seat selling racket, now submission of fake marksheets of class 12th, for the engineering colleges of Tamil Nadu has come into lime light.

Many students who applied for engineering admissions have been found submitting fake marksheets of class 12th state board.

This incident came into light when authorities founded some students submitting fake marksheets. Now the authorities is keeping a close watch on all the students.

"Submitting fake certificates is not a joke. They are indulging in criminal activities and we will take criminal action against them," said K Ponmudy, Tamil Nadu Higher Education Minister.

"Students who have applied for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions are from Tamil Nadu. so we have the total database of the last 3 years. If we find any discrepancy, we send it for verification," said TN Engineering Admissions Secretary, V Rhymend Uthariaraj.

"This is so not fair. We study so hard and get marks and because of these people, we lose out," said a student.
