One killed, seven injured in Assam railway track blast
Guwahati, July 8 (ANI): At least one person was killed and seven others injured, when a powerful explosion damaged a railway track in Assam this morning.
According to sources, the incident took place at around 2:15 a.m. at Babubil in the state's Kokrajhar District.
The blast caused the derailment of the Garib Rath Express from Guwahati to Kolkata.
The injured have been rushed to hospital.
Rescue and relief operations are underway.
Assam Police held the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) responsible for the blast.
On Wednesday evening, two blasts took place on railway tracks near Dhekiajuli. (ANI)
