Prime Minister, Sonia to inaugurate new terminal at IGI on Saturday
New Delhi, July 2 (ANI): Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh along with National Advisory Council Chairperson Sonia Gandhi will inaugurate Terminal 3 at New Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport on Saturday.
Touted as world's largest and most modern airport in the world, it can cater to 34 million passengers in a year.
It has a capacity to handle 12,800 bags per hour with 6.4 kilometres of conveyor belts.
The actual operations for international services commences on July 16. (ANI)
