Opposition will come together & corner govt: BJP
Chennai, Jul 2: The main opposition party Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has promised to make the Monsoon session of the parliament, set to begin on Jul 26, a 'stormy' one.
"We will also confront the government in the Parliament during the monsoon session. We will corner the government and coordinate with other opposition parties (for this purpose). It will be a stormy session," Senior BJP leader M Venkiah Naidu said while speaking to media personnel here on Friday, Jul 2.
Referring to the recent hike in fuel prices, Mr Naidu also accused the government of passing its burden on to the commoners, instead of "redrawing its taxation policy". He observed that the fuel price rise will have a cascading effect on prices of essential commodities.
The BJP leader also said that the government has failed in all aspects including in tackling the red terror of the Maoists.
