Surge in TVS Motors sales across segments
Mumbai, Jul 1: Two-wheeler giant, TVS Motors continues to post encouraging sales numbers with the Jun 2010 numbers surging 36 per cent.
Total two wheeler sales of the company grew from 115,448 units in June 2009 to 156,685 units in Jun 2010 as against the numbers seen in Jun 2009, the company said in a statement issued on Thursday, Jul 1.
Cumulative two wheeler sales from Apr to Jun 2010 increased 31 per cent with sales of 456,041 units in the current financial year as against 347,141 units in 2009.
While motorcycle sales registered 44 per cent growth in Jun 2010, Scooters sales also continued on an upward journey soaring 42 per cent.
Two wheeler sales in domestic markets witnessed a growth of 33 per cent, surging from 105,361 units in Jun 2009 to 139,905 units in Jun 2010.
The company also reported robust growth in the three-wheeler segment too. Three wheeler sales crossed the three thousand mark for the first time with the company registering a voluminous growth of 3,003 units in Jun 2010 over 810 units in Jun 2009, said the company communique.
