Lover kills teenage girl in Orissa

Rourkela, Jul 1: Lover killed a teenaged girl in Sundargarh district, Orissa. The girl was found dead in a pool of blood in her house at Baramas village near Biramitrapur.

The teenager Sukanti Toppo, who was alone in the house was allegedly attacked by Biju Tirkey, an uneducated youth of the same village whom police suspected to be her lover.

"Sukanti had received at least 10 stab injuries on her. She was rushed to the Biramitrapur hospital where she was declared brought dead," said Om Prakash Patra, Inspector in charge of Biramitrapur police station.

The accused lover also tried to end his life by stabbing himself twice in his stomach. He was rushed to the Rourkela government hospital in a critical condition.
