Commonwealth Games waste of money: Sharad Yadav
New Delhi, Jul 1: "I believe that the huge money that would be spent on hosting the Commonwealth Games could have been used to created more IITs and IIMs, " said Sharad Yadav JD(U) chief.
While addressing a press conference in New Delhi on Thursday, Jul 1, Sharad Yadav made it clear that its just waste of money and he support Mani Shankar fully on this.
Till now Rs 50,000 crore have been wasted so far. "It would have been better if the government had shown this kind of seriousness towards controlling price rise, which could have given relief to common men," Yadav added.
The Games are scheduled to be held in Delhi between Oct 3 and Oct 14, 2010. The games will be the largest multi sport event conducted to date in Delhi and India generally, which has previously hosted the Asian Games in 1951 and 1982.
