Mamata Banerjee gives EGoM meet on fuel a miss
New Delhi, Jun 25: Union Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee has decided to give the Empowered Group of Ministers (EGoM) meeting scheduled to be held on Friday, Jun 25 a miss.
The EGoM will be considering decontrolling of petrol prices, a move that Mamata Banerjee disapproves of.
The Trinamool Congress supremo had already voiced her objection to the move to take away petrol prices from government's control.
Mamata had called Finance Minister, Pranab Mukherjee on the issue on Thursday, Jun 25 night as well.
