Shibu Soren acquitted in Kudko murder case
Giridih (Jharkhand), June 15 (ANI): A local court on Monday acquitted former Jharkhand Chief Minister Shibu Soren in connection with the 1974 Kurko murder case for lack of evidence.
The Additional District Judge (9th-fast track), Mohammad Qasim, ronounced the verdict in the presence of Soren
An FIR was filed by Bahadur Singh, who had accused Soren of heading a group that allegedly killed Khirodar Singh and Chundi Singh following the slaughter of a goat at Kudko village under Pirtand police station in Giridih district.
The charge-sheet was filed in 1978 and Soren is the sole accused now since eight others were acquitted in 1986.
This was the third case in which Soren has been acquitted by different courts. (ANI)
