Ranchi, June 14 (ANI): Jharkhand Police have arrested one of the abductors of the slain police officer Francis Induwar from Taimara in Ranchi District.

On Sunday evening, police arrested Laxmi Munda, one of the three abductors who had kidnapped Induwar in October 2009.

Induwar who was Inspector in Jharkhad Police special cell, was beheaded in Talibani style.

The Maoists had demanded the release of its three top leaders-obad Ghandy, Chhatradhar Mahato and Chandra Bhushan Yadav for Induwar.

Munda was nabbed during anti-Naxal operations late on Sunday evening.

Police said during interrogation, Munda confessed that Induwar was kidnapped and beheaded at the direction of Maoist leader Kundan Pahan.

Pahan is still at large.

Police also seized four-and-a-half kg explosives during the raids.

Security forces also claim the arrest of Maoists backed Tritiya Prasturi Committee leader Ashok Ganju. (ANI)
