Rs 14 lakh granted for German Bakery renovations
Pune, Jun 14: German Bakery acquired Rs 14 lakh from the Maharashtra government as the financial assistance to renovate the store which got destructed in the Feb 13 terror attack 2010.
The cheque for the amount was handed over to the owner of the bakery, Smitha Kharose by Ajit Pawar, the Pune Guardian Minister in the presence of Chandrakant Dalvi, the district collector on Monday, Jun 14.
Kharose said that government will aid the Bakery to restart on August 15, 2010. He thanked the administration and people for providing the support after the terror strike which left 17 killed and around 50 injured.
The proposal for this sanction aid from Chief Minister's fund was authorized after a representation from Smitha's family and assessment of the damage to the property in the Koregaon Park area.
