Indian mkts outperform global peers
Mumbai, Jun 10: Buying across sectors helped the Indian markets outperform the global markets.
BSE Sensex shut shop at 16,922.08, up 264.19 points or 1.59 per cent and NSE Nifty went up 78.30 points or 1.57 per cent to end at 5,078.60.
All sectoral indices ended in the green. Auto went up 3 per cent and metals gained 2 per cent, while Realty, TECk, Healthcare, Power, Capital Goods, IT and Bank indices gained 1 to 1.8 per cent.
Bharti

gainer
for
second
consecutive
day.

Nifty breaks 5050 mark; SBI, Airtel, RIL up
Gaining strength from telecom, capital goods, auto, technology, metal, oil & gas exploration and FMCG sectors, the benchmarks continue to trade higher. While Nifty tested the 5050 mark, Sensex went up by over 180 points.

trading
at

up
61.05
points.
Buying in SBI, Bharti Airtel, BHEL, Reliance Industries, TCS and L&T was helping the markets.
Reliance Infrastructure was up 4.56 per cent; Hero Honda gained 3.45 per cent; Bharti Airtel rose 3.27 per cent; Idea Cellular was up 2.90 per cent; SBI surged 2.55 per cent and Tata Motors was up 2.37 per cent.
However,

Bank,
Power
Grid,
ICICI
Bank,
Suzlon
Energy,
BPCL,
ACC
and
HCL
Tech
were
marginally
in
red.

Mkts continue +ve; IT, FMGC, auto support
After opening on a positive bias, the Nifty continued to hold on to the 5000 mark while Sensex gained almost 100 points. The markets were recieving support from telecom, oil & gas exploration, technology, capital goods, FMCG, auto and healthcare shares.
At 11: 46 am, BSE Sensex was trading at 16772, up 114 points and NSE Nifty was at 5033, up 33 points. The broader indices, the BSE Midcap Index was up 0.5 per cent and the Smallcap was up 1 per cent.
Heavyweight SBI was also helping the markets trade in the positive territory.

Mkts open positive on buying interest
Shorting covering continues to support Nifty. Buying interest also helped the benchmarks open on a positive note.
At 9:02 am, BSE Sensex was trading at 16713, up 55 points and NSE Nifty was at 5018, up 18 points. The CNX Midcap rose 35 points to 7818 and BSE Smallcap went up 37 points to 8530.
Buying interest was seen in oil & gas, technology, power, realty, FMCG and metal companies' shares. Cairn India, Hindalco, ONGC, Reliance Power, Reliance Infrastructure, Tata Motors, SBI, DLF, SAIL, Tata Power, Idea Cellular, M&M, HDFC, Ranbaxy Labs and Bharti Airtel were among the early gainers on buying.
On a negative note, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, ACC, Suzlon Energy and Ambuja Cements dipped under pressure.
