Protests over corporator's attack on BSNL officer

Rajahmundry, Jun 10: Protesting against the attack on their officer K Satyanarayana Raju and other employees by city corporator Babji and his son, BSNL employees staged a 'dharna' (sit-in) here in front of the Revenue Divisional Office (RDO) on Wednesday, Jun 9.

The protestors demanded that cases should be registered against Babji and his son under the ST/SC (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.

Accusing the police of inaction, the employees have threatened to continue their agitation until action is taken against the corporator and his son.

They have also submitted a memorandum to the local administration.
