Girl dies in borewell in Punjab
Batala, Punjab, June 3: The girl who fell in the borewell near Batala town in Punjab's Gurdaspur District died after being inside the borewell for about 20 hours. The rescue operations carried out by the Indian Army could not save the child from the death. The girl fell in the borewell while she was playing at the farmhouse where the borewell was being dug
The J&K battlion from the nearby Tibri Cantonment was called in after the civil authorities realized that more expertise needed to bring her out
