Kiran Bedi urged women to thrive in an inspirational keynote

New Delhi, May 31 (ANI/Business Wire India): Dr. Kiran Bedi, Ramon Magsaysay award winner and India's first and highest ranking woman in the Indian Police Service, recently motivated women across India to play an active role in their spheres of influence and contribute to women's empowerment in the workplace through effective mentoring, leadership and guidance to encourage future leaders.

Renowned for her revolutionary methods, Dr. Bedi went on to emphasise that her struggle was not to survive, but to thrive, and she encouraged the assembled audience to succeed in their endeavours against all odds, in spite of the numerous hardships faced and the objections encountered in both society and a predominantly male workforce.

During this inspirational speech, which was delivered to an audience of prominent business women at the WIL Forum India in May, Dr. Bedi also shared her life experiences in the Indian Police Service and her idea of a successful woman, as well as her insights on leadership at the highest level.
