AP: Tower collapses in Kalahasthi Temple

Chittoor/Andhra Pradesh, May 26: The 'Gali Gopuram" of famous Sri Kalahasti Temple located at Kalahasti city in Chittoor district that was built 400 years ago by Raja Sri Krishna Devaraya has been collapsed here on Wednesday.

Earlier a huge cracks developed vertically splitting the marvellous structure into two parts.

The authorities of the temple tightened the structure with a huge wire mesh around it to avert further cracks as the cracks developed was clearly visible.

Even after that small pieces of the structure were falling down indicating the worsening condition of the structure.

No casualities filed in this regard
