AP: Tribals injured in a Maoist attack
Hyderabad, May 10: An incident of Maoists violence has emerged from the southern state of Andhra Pradesh, where six tribals were injured in an attack launched by the ultras.
The Maoists reportedly started firing at a vehicle, in which the tribals were travelling in, assuming that it was carrying police personnel.
The incident took place in RV Puram forest area in Visakhapatnam near the Andhra-Orissa border.
The tribals who suffered bullet injuries were taken to the hospital. They are currently undergoing treatment at KGM hospital.
The Maoists fled after spraying the bullets. Police has informed that security officials have been deployed to sanitise the area.
