WB: Maoists gun down local CPI(M) leader
Jhargram, May 8: Red terror continues in West Bengal with the Moaists now gunning down a local CPI(M) leader in West Midnapore"s Jhargram area.
Late on Friday, May 7 night, about 25 ultras stormed the local CPI(M) leader's house and dragged him down from the first floor to the courtyard. 53-year-old Sudhanshu Maiti was then shot down from a close range.
The police on Saturday, May 8 informed that the bullets, which hit Maiti's heart and head, killed him on the spot.
In a bid to hunt down the Maoist assailants, Joint force personnel have been deployed in the area.
