Woman sets self, children on fire
Lucknow, May 4: A woman alleged set herself and her three children on fire in Uttar Pradesh's Gonda district, police said on Tuesday, May 4.
35-year-old Pinki Dubey of Bhivpur village in Gonda, some 150 km from Lucknow set herself on fire along with her three children aged between 2 months and 5 years.
"It appears that marital discord is the main reason behind the incident. We are yet to trace Pinki's husband Vasudev Kumar for interrogation in the case," police inspector SP Singh told reporters in Gonda.
Police has arrested some members of Kumar's family in connection with the incident.
Locals informed the police that Kumar and his wife had exchanged heated words early on Tuesday, May 4, and he had asked her to leave the house.
