Ajmer blast: Raj ATS seeks narco test
Ajmer, May 3: Rajasthan Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) has approached the court seeking permission to conduct narco-analysis test on alleged Hindu right-wing activist Devendra Gupta, first suspect arrested in connection with the case.
"We have sought permission from the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Ajmer, to conduct narco-test on Gupta and a decision on it will be taken in the next hearing tomorrow," Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) sources said.
Gupta is suspected to have links with Hindu outfit Abhinav Bharat, allegedly involved in the Malegaon blast.
Rajasthan ATS has arrested a two more suspects in connection with the Ajmer Dargah blast in two separate incidents.
Chandrashekhar, who is suspected of having links with Hindu outfits, was nabbed from Madhya Pradesh on Friday, Apr 30.
He was produced before an Ajmer court on Saturday, May 1 and has put under 11-day police custody.
Another suspect Vishnu Patidar was arrested by five-member team of Rajasthan ATS headed by Inspector Rajesh Choudhry from village Khardonkala, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Ramji Shrivastava said in a news agency report.
He has been taken to Ajmer for further interrogation.
