Infosys to recruit 30,000 people in FY11
Bangalore, Apr 13: Indian IT major, Infosys Technologies Ltd is planning to recruit 30,000 people for the current financial year.
Speaking to reporters, Infosys COO, SD Shibulal said, "During FY11, we plan to recruit 30,000 people. Last year, we started with 18,000 and ended up with 27,000."
Currently, the company employs about 1,13,796, which includes a net addition of 3,914 staff during the fourth quarter.
Apart from hiring, Infosys has also announced wage hike for the financial year.
"Now, we have announced on wage hike -- probably one of the best we have ever done -- 13 to 17 per cent offshore and 2 to 3 pct on site," Shibulal said.
