Sania-Shoaib to get married on Apr 12
Hyderabad, Apr 12: Sania Mirza and Shoiab Malik will tie the knot on Monday, Apr 12, three days ahead of the scheduled date of Apr 15, Sania's spokesperson said.
"The nikah will take place today. Being a religious ceremony, it will be black sherwani," said Rucha Nayak, Sania's spokesperson said.
Briefing on Sania's and Shoaib's attire for the big day, Nayak said that the tennis star would be wearing the same saree that her mother had worn for her wedding, while Shoaib would be wearing a black sherwani designed by Shantanu-Nikhil.
She said that the mehendi ceremony would take place on Apr 13, followed by the sangeet on Apr 14. The wedding reception is scheduled for Apr 15.
The move came a day after Sunni Ulema Board, a group of religious scholars issued a fatwa against the sports couple for living under the same roof before the marriage.
Sania and Shoiab have been in the center of controversy ever since they announce their wedding plans on Mar 29, 2010, with an FIR filed against Shoaib by Ayesha Siddique, Shoaib's first wife, accusing him of cheating and criminal intimidation.
