Omar Abdullah says Pakistan wants to keep the pot of militancy boiling
Jammu March 17(ANI): Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday said that Pakistan sponsored terrorists want to keep the pot of militancy boiling and they have made their intentions clear from the beginning of this year by increasing their activities.
Abdullah said this after attending the Police investiture ceremony at Police Headquarters in Jammu, where 182 police officers and personnel were felicitated for their bravery while fighting militancy in the last ten years.
When asked about the strategy of Pakistan sponsored militants, Abdullah said: "They have made their intentions clear in the beginning of the year; they want to keep the pot boiling (militancy)."
Our forces, central paramilitary forces and Army are ready to face any challenge," he added.
When asked about the recent militant attack in Srinagar and its impact on coming tourists season, he said: " The places where these attacks took place are very far from tourist circle."
About the submission of the draft to Central Government for a new surrender policy, he said: "We are preparing the draft and after completion we will discuss this in the cabinet and then we will end it to Delhi. We are working on that." By Tahir Nadeem Khan (ANI)
