Police probing death of French woman in Udaipur

Udaipur, March 7 (ANI): Police in Rajasthan's Udaipur City is probing the death of a 24-year-old French woman, who was found under mysterious circumstances in a hotel room this week.

Police confirmed finding injury marks on the head and neck of Anne Louise Marie, who was staying at a low-cost hotel in Udaipur.

"They stayed at the hostel at night. A local man named Dhruv also stayed with her. We are inspecting the hotel room, trying to find out what could have led to her death. A postmortem on the body will be done once the family members and embassy officials are here, but till then, we are investigating the case," said Tejraj Singh, Udaipur's Additional Superintendent of Police.olice have arrested Dhruva Sharma.

Marie, who was in India on a tourist visa, had gone to Pushkar with Sharma. She injured her foot during an accident while coming from there on March 2. Marie had come to Udaipur, one of the sought after tourist destination, on February 24. (ANI)
