Indian toddler's death in Oz 'unfortunate': Govt
New Delhi, Mar 5: Indian Government expressed his deep condolences to the family of three-year-old Indian boy Gurshan Singh, who was found dead in Melbourne on Thursday, Mar 4.
External Affairs Minister S M Krishna said, "We are yet to get details of this most unfortunate incident."
"The Australian investigating agencies have confirmed that there was no external injury on the body of the three-year toddler," Krishna informed the Rajya Sabha.
"We have asked the (Indian) consulate (in Melbourne) to contact the family. The consulate is ready to offer any assistance they might need," the minister added.
Meanwhile, Indian community leaders in Australia have pleaded for calm during the murder investigation into the death of three-year-old Gurshan.
