Thieves steal Rs 80L from Hema Malini's house
Mumbai, Mar 1: Cash and gold ornaments collectively valued at Rs 80 lakh were stolen from film actor Hema Malini's house here, police said.
Hema Malini had gone to Nagpur on Saturday, Feb 27. The actor came to know about the theft on Sunday, Feb 28.
Additional Police Commissioner, Ramrao Pawar said, "When Hema Malini returned home this morning, she found the cash and valuables stolen from her cupboard at her bungalow 'Gokuldham' in suburban Goregaon."
"The robbers entered the house by breaking the window and decamped with Rs 75 lakh cash and gold ornaments worth Rs 5 lakh," Pawar was quoted as saying.
Police said a security guard and a domestic help have been detained for questioning.
