Union Budget 2010: Allocation list
New Delhi, Feb 26: Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee invited smiles from various the sectors and endowed many welfare and other schemes with increased money infusion in Union Budget 2010-11.
The allocations announced in the Parliament on Feb 26 are listed below:
- School Education - Rs 31,036 crore (up from Rs 26,800 crore )
- Health - Rs 22,300 crore (up from Rs.19,534 crore)
- Social Sector- Rs 1,37,674 crore
- Power sector - Rs 5,130 crore (up from Rs 2,230 cr)
- Defence - Rs 1,47,344
- Home Ministry- Rs 37,136.07 crore (up from Rs 33,809.86 crore)
- Rural development Rs 61,000 crore
- Urban development Rs 5,400 crore
- Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI)- Rs 1,900 crore (up from Rs 120 crore)
- Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) - Rs 2,400 crore
- National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA) - Rs 40,100 crore
- Woman farmer fund scheme - Rs 100 crore
- Indira Awas Yojana scheme - Rs 45,000 in plain area
- Indira Awas Yojana scheme - Rs 48,500 in hilly areas
