Sajjan Kumar granted anticipatory bail
New Delhi, Feb 26: Sajjan Kumar, former MP and Congress leader was granted bail in two of the anti-Sikh riots cases by the Delhi High Court, media report said.
The High Court's decision came at a time when Kumar, who has two non-bailable warrant against him, was reported missing by the Personal Security Officer (PSO) on Feb 19 and is yet to be arrested by the CBI.
Earlier, on Feb 23, the Court chided CBI for 'not being serious' in apprehending the Congress leader, when they informed about their inability to arrest Kumar.
On Jan 13, Kumar was charge sheeted in two separate cases in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots by the CBI for allegedly making provocative speeches after the assassination of Indira Gandhi, which resulted in the killing of 12 people.
