Railways to induct E-ticket based mobile vans
New Delhi, Feb 24: Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday, Feb 24, announced extension of scope of 'Mushkil-Aasan' scheme.
Presenting the Railway Budget for 2010-11, Mamta said e-ticket based mobile vans will be inducted for issuing reservation tickets.
It will be inducted in Government medical college hospitals, High Courts, District Courts, University campuses, IT hubs, IITs and IIMs.
She said Railways also proposes to open ticket centres at district headquarters and village panchayats with infrastructure support from local Government/semi-Government authorities and private organizations.
Mamata also said that E-ticketing will cost less with the reduction of service charge being reduced.
