New Trapster phone app alerts drivers against booze buses!
Melbourne, February 16 (ANI): A new mobile phone technology is growing in popularity with its ability to alert drivers to the location of police radar traps, speed cameras and booze buses in Australia.
The application, called Trapster, was said to be compatible with any GPS-capable phone and allowed registered users to share the locations with others.
A Victoria Police spokesman confessed they knew motorists were using the service, according to The Age newspaper.
"While it is disappointing that motorists would consider drink driving and using this technology to attempt to avoid detection, there is nothing currently illegal with the application," News.com.au quoted the spokesman as saying.
"While it may give the location of booze buses, be assured that we will have a number of roaming patrols that will catch you," he added. (ANI)
