Mumbai tense as Rahul arrives, 3 Sainiks detained

Mumbai, Feb 5: The situation in Mumbai grew tense as Rahul Gandhi arrived in the city amid fierce protests from Shiv Sena.

The police has been put on high alert after Sena supremo Bal Thackeray asked his partymen to protest Congress leader's visit to the state capital by greeting him with black flags.

Three Sena activists have been reportedly detained when they tried to enter the 39-year-old Lok Sabha MP's itinerary venue.

Sena corporator, Rajul Patel, who was wearing a black sari was one among the three party activists detained, the police informed.

The three Sainiks who were held while trying to make way into the Bhaidas Hall in suburban Vile Parle have been taken to nearby police station.
