Patna, Feb.2 (ANI): Students in a women's college in Patna went berserk to catch a glimpse of charismatic Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi as he visited the college on Tuesday.

About ten girls were selected from the Patna Women's College (PWC) to personally meet Rahul.

Ecstatic girls enjoyed narrating their rendezvous with the Congress party stalwart.

"He said that don't call me sir, call me Rahul. This is such a big thing to say. Politicians think so high of themselves, but he is so down to earth. He treated us like his friends, we felt really very nice," said Richa, one of the students.

Gandhi also answered some of the questions put to him by college students.

"When a girl compared him with Gandhi ji, he said that a person like Mahatma Gandhi is born only once in centuries, such a person cannot be born again and again. He answered each and every question with a lot of simplicity," said Reeya, another women's college student.

Rahul Gandhi is on a two-day visit to Bihar state to shore up support for the Congress party. He began his journey on Monday (Feb.02) from Bhitharwa Ashram, where country's iconic freedom fighter Mahatma Gandhi began his Satyagraha movement in 1917 to protest the British atrocities on farmers to force them into indigo cultivation.

During his visit Rahul would be criss-crossing the state and meeting young men and women for his party's campaign of involving youth in the political system. (ANI)
