Maruti sales up 33.3 percent in Jan 2010
New Delhi, Feb 1: India's largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki India has posted a 33.3 pc rise in sales in Jan at 95,649 vehicles.
Maruti Suzuki India had sold 71,779 units in Jan 2009.
The company said, "This is the highest ever domestic as well as total sales for the company."
Total passenger car sales rose by 21.2 per cent to 80,952 units in Jan 2010 as against 66, 819 units in Jan 2009.
Sales of the A2 segment, comprising models Alto, Wagon R, Zen, Swift, A-Star and Ritz, were at 58,540 units against 46,899 units in Jan 2009.
The export figures increased three-fold to 14,562 units in Jan 2010 as against 4,774 units in the same month in 2009.
