Mobile phone explodes, kills woman in Kadapa
Kadapa, Jan 25: A husband who called his wife from Kuwait never thought that the mobile phone connecting them would force them apart with an untimely and shocking death.
The 27-year-old housewife Lavanya, who was busy on a telephonic conversation with her husband J Ramachandraiah, was killed when her mobile phone exploded.
The incident took place on Saturday, Jan 23 in Lavanya's house in YSR Colony here.
The police said that the explosion took place as the woman was talking on her Chinese-made phone while charging it.
The woman who sustained burns after the explosion was rushed to the hospital, where the doctors pronounced her dead.
Apart from the fact that Chinese handsets are banned in India due to security reasons, there have been many warnings published and aired in the media against using the mobile phone while charging it as there have been many fatal incidents reported in the past.
