Wipro to slash 85 jobs in Finland
Bangalore, Jan 22: Wipro Ltd has announced that it would cut about 85 jobs in Finland.
This step comes as part of restructuring its telecom research and development operations there.
Wipro said that it will start a consultation process with the staff representatives. About 300 people are employed in Finland.
"After carefully considering all possible options, the company has decided to enter into a negotiation process with the employees given the challenging industry situation in telecom R&D," it added.
