Shivraj Patil sworn-in as Governor of Punjab
Chandigarh, Jan 22: Shivraj Vishwanath Patil has been sworn-in as the Governor of Punjab on Friday, Jan 22.
Patil took the oath of office at Punjab Raj Bhawan here. It was administered by the Punjab and Haryana High Court Chief Justice Mukul Moudgil.
Patil was the Speaker of the 11th Lok Sabha and also served in the Manmohan Singh cabinet as the Union Minister of Home Affairs.
He had resigned from the post of Home Minister on Nov 30, 2008 following widespread criticism after Mumbai terror attacks.
