Telangana bandh disrupts life for second day
Hyderabad, Jan 21: A shut down called by Joint Action Committee (JAC) disrupted normal life for the second consecutive day across the Telegana region on Thursday, Jan 21.
The JAC are protesting against the police who lathi charged on students in Osmania University on Wednesday, Jan 21.
About 50 students and several policemen, including an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), were injured in the clashes between police and students in the campus.
Schools, colleges, shops and business establishments in Telangana region remained closed.
The Andhra Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) has suspended its services in Telangana districts like Nalgonda, Medak and Karimnagar.
However, APSRTC partially resumed its services here, providing some relief to commuters.
