India's wholesale sugar prices dip: Pawar
New Delhi, Jan 18: Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar on Monday, Jan 18, said that India's wholesale sugar prices has gone down in the past two to three days.
Pawar further said that retail rates are also expected to fall in 10-15 days.
Indian inflation jumped to a one-year high of 7.3 percent in Dec 2008 driven by high food prices.
Food inflation was slightly moderated to 17.28 for the week ended on Jan 8.
Last week, the government had announced measures to curb the rising food prices.
