Gail Q3 net profit surges three-fold
New Delhi, Jan 18: For the quarter ended Dec 31, 2009, Gail has posted a three fold jump in its net profit at Rs 860 crore, versus the profit recorded in the year ago period.
The state-run gas utility on Monday, Jan 18 said that its turnover rose to Rs. 6,187 crore for the third quarter (Q3) as opposed to Rs 5,812 crore in the same period previous fiscal.
On the encouraging Q3 numbers, Gail shares were trading higher on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
