China has not been transparent: Dalai Lama
Chandragiri (Orissa), Jan 13: Appreciating the improving bilateral relations between India and China, Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama advised China to be more transparent in its dealings.
"I support and wish peaceful and improved relations between India and China based on honesty and transparency as it involves the lives of billions of people. Unfortunately, China has not been transparent," the Dalai Lama told reporters at the Tibetan settlement here.
The spiritual leader said that his presence in India will not sour the relations between the two countries, adding that he wishes peace and good relations between them.
Asked about the safety of the Tibetans who were residing in the Naxal-infested Gajapati district,
Dalai Lama assured of thier safety.
Referring to Maoists' violent ways, he said that all problems should be solved through peaceful and non-violent means.
