CBI takes over Ruchika molestation case
New Delhi, Jan 11: The Ruchika molestation case has been taken over by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday, Jan 11.
This is for the second time the case has been handed over to the agency to probed into the matter. The Centre has issued a notification to this effect.
The CBI will look into the three fresh FIRs lodged against SPS Rathore, the former Haryana DGP who molested Ruchika in 1990.
The FIRs allege non-bailable offences against Rathore.
Rathore has already been held guilty by a CBI court of molesting Ruchika and awarded only a six-month jail sentence.
