Pro-Telangana youth commits suicide in Hyd
Hyderabad, Jan 7: Irked by the delay in formation of Telangana state, a youth committed suicide in Hyderabad on Wednesday, Jan 6.
24-year-old Bhooma Reddy was found hanging from a ceiling fan in his room.
"He was in his room in the night and he committed suicide by hanging to the fan. When owner came and told us, we broke the door and saw that he had hanged himself. We found a suicide note in his pocket that said that for Telangana I am committing suicide," A Balakoti, Inspector General of Police, Hyderabad said.
Police said that the suicide note also carried an appeal to the Center for an immediate formation of Telangana state, warning that there was no dearth of students willing to lay down their lives for the cause.
The body will be sent for post-mortem report and his parents will be informed, police added.
Reddy hailed from Adilabad district and was pursuing multimedia course in the city.
