Maoists blow up rail track in Jharkhand
Ranchi, Jan 5: In the latest addition to Maoists menace in Jharkhand, police said on Tuesday, Jan 5 that a rail track in Palamau district, about 180 km from Ranchi was blown up Maoists on Monday evening, Jan 4.
Railway authorities informed that eight coaches of the goods train were derailed as the blast damaged nearly one meter of the track.
The mishap disrupted the railway services on the route.
The repair has began and services are likely to resume by Tuesday, Jan 5 afternoon, authorities said.
