Auto Expo: Maruti showcases 7-seater family car

New Delhi, Jan 5: Country's auto giant, Maruti Suzuki showcased its new seven-seater family car at the Delhi Auto Expo 2010 on Tuesday, Jan 5.

Maruti Suzuki, which would to establish a new segment with the launch of its small multi-purpose concept vehicle (MPV) 'rIII', hopes to maintain sales growth in 2010.

"In 2009, our sales grew by about 22 per cent compared with 2008's. But since 2008 was a bad year if we look back and compare with the growth two years ago, we have grown by just about 19 per cent," Maruti Suzuki India Managing Director Shinzo Nakanishi told reporters at the Auto Expo.

The company also shared its plans of bringing premium sedans based on a concept Kizashi by the 2010-end into India.
