Mumbai, Jan 4: Three suspected suicides committed by two children and a youngster have left the city and the country apalled.

While a 20-year-old medical student and 13-year-old Sushant Eknath Patil are believed to have committed suicide for failing in exams, 11-year-old Neha Sawant reportedly done herself in after her parents did not permit her to participate in a TV dance show.

The medical student, whose identity is still unknown, was found dead by her parent in the Chaitanya Nagar flat, the police said.

On prelimanary investigations, police said that this could be a suicide, even though no note was found.

The police added that the first year medical student of DY Patil College in Navi Mumbai, had reportedly failed in two subjects in her recent term examinations.

In the second case, Sushant was found hanging in the toilet of the Shardashram Boys High School in Dadar West where he studied.

Police suspect that the boy committed suicide as he failed in some subjects in his mid-term exams.
