AP sex scandal: Tiwari quits on health grounds

Hyderabad, Dec 27: Barely twenty-four hours after a media sting operation exposed a sex scandal at the Raj Bhavan, the Andhra Pradesh governor ND Tiwari resigned citing 'poor health'.

ND Tiwari submitted his resignation to President Pratibha Patil and stepped down on health grounds, said a one-line statement issued by the Raj Bhavan on Saturday, Dec 26.

This came a day after a local Telugu news channel called 'ABN Andhra Jyothy' aired explicit footage reportedly showing the governor in a compromising position with three young women.
