Centre seeks report from AP Govt on Tiwari sting
Hyderabad, Dec 26: The Centre has sought a report from the state government in the wake of a sting operation purportedly showing state Governor ND Tiwari in a compromising position with three women.
According to Home Ministry sources, State Chief Secretary Ramakant Reddy had been asked to send a detailed report about the allegations made against the Governor.
The sources said the Ministry would be taking a view only after the report was submitted.
However, the channel's editor-in-chief Vemuri Radhakrishna said that they have evidence to back what they have shown.
"Let them serve defamation notice. We are even ready to deal with the issue," he said.
Congress sources said that the party is concerned over the issue as it has embarrassed it.
