Satyam case: Judicial remand extended to Jan 6
Hyderabad, Dec 23: The judicial remand of the ten accused in the Satyam case has been extended to January 6 by the local courts on Wednesday, Dec 23.
Documents related to the supplementary charge sheet filed against them by the CBI was also handed over to the accused who were produced before the court XIV Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate court, following expiry of their judicial custody.
However, prime accused and Satyam founder B. Ramalinga Raju could not be produced as he was undergoing treatment for hepatic ailment at NIMS hospital.
On Dec 9, the defence counsels refused to accept copies of the charge sheet, demanding its verification with the original document.
Questioning of the Satyam accused will take place on January 6, 2010 based on the supplementary charges filed by the CBI, following which the charges will be framed by the court.
