India in no hurry to hang Kasab: Tharoor
New Delhi, Dec 20: Minister of State for External Affairs Shashi Tharoor has rejected a suggestion about hanging Ajmal Amir Kasab saying that there was no hurry to do so.
Speaking to reporters, Tharoor said, "We have a surviving terrorist. We are in no hurry to do anything to him quickly as he is a vital source of information."
Tharoor was responding to a question when asked why India was not hanging Kasab quickly to set an example for others.
"There is a democratic judicial process, and we will follow it," he said.
Kasab, the lone surviving Pakistani terrorist undergoing trial for the 26/11 attacks, made another U-turn by denying his role in the Mumbai attacks.
