Swine flu claims 10 more lives, toll at 769
New Delhi, Dec 19: Swine flu has claimed ten more lives mounting the country-wide H1N1 death toll to 769.
Besides, a record 364 new cases were reported across the nation on Friday, Dec 18 taking the total number of people affected with the virus to 23,182, health authorities informed.
Out of the ten fatalities, two were reported from Delhi, four from Punjab, two from Haryana and one death each from Maharashtra and Rajasthan.
Recording a total of 248 deaths due to the H1N1 virus, Maharashtra continues to be the worst-affected state.
Currently, Punjab's toll stands at 18, Delhi's at 54, Haryana's at 26 and Rajasthan's at 105.
